morning was bright but cloudy and windy. after 10 am .. it rained till the evening... continuous rain ..like Indian monsoon..
Even I got wet in the rain...

This post after a long gap. In between there was nice sunny times, there were also rains, storm and also lighning.

Today it was beautiful weather with sun all the day. Sky was clear with some wind. Temperature were around 25 degree. Only unfortunate part was that I was inside the building working. I hope the weather remains like this over the weekend.

Interrupted light shower/rain throughout the day. Temperature increased to 5 degree today. All the last remains of ice melted till evening.

Temperature is still near zero degree. There was no new layer of snow but there was still some remaining snow from couple of days back. day was cloudy with some wind. Wind became stronger towards evening. There was also some little snow shower in evening with strong wind. Temperature remained around zero degree in the day time.

Good layer of snow from overnight. Every where white snow can be seen in the morning. Sky were cloudy thorough out the day., however the day was calm with temperature below zero degree.

now today at Groningen or should I say in Netherlands it self. Today I was in Utrecht and there it was snowing since morning around 10:00am. In groningen it started in evening and continued till late night. Temperature in general remined below zero. In evening there was also some winds....with snow...Seems like there delayed winter in europe this time... delayed by a month compared to last year.

Was the delay due to global warming or just a normal change?

I was busy past week travelling so could not update the information of the last weeks.

Well today first half of the day was cloudy and rest half was clear sunny sky. Temperature was around 2-4 degree and there was mild breeze. Due to clear sky in evening, It appears to be freezing outside and temperature is expected to fall below zero.

At very this moment at 11:32pm there was hail shower for 3-4 minute.

Today it was a cloudy whole day with rian showers in between. There was a bit of wind too in the day. Previous day snow melted out today. However there was some snow left here and there. Due to the shower the average temperature was higher than previews couple of days. Temperature today in the day time was around 1 degree but it felt like something in negative.

Today whole day was cold. Day began with cloud but clear sky followed soon and sunlight was there. After sometime(around. 11 am) cloud came back and had some snow showers, but only for a brief moment, and sun was there again.Temperature was below zero degree, around -2 to -3 degree. It seems that this cold climate will continue for few more days. Canals and Lakes are already frozen(thin layers).

It will be interesting to see how long will this climate be.

In the early morning it was a clear sky. Surroundings were covered with snow (not much) from overnight. Temperature was chilling. As the day progressed clouds appeared and sooner snowfall started. It might have continued for 20-30 minute, I suppose. Fog started to build up and it remained foggy till evening. Temperature through out the day remained ar9ound zero degree. Moreover there was absence of wind/breeze today.

Today Groningen saw the first snow shower of this winter. Even though the snow shower was for some brief moment, it made clear finally the arrival of much awaited winter in Europe. From yesterday itself, temperature was around zero and as expected, today morning water spilled on the roads were frozen. Even a very thin layer on canal water could be seen. The Day in general was sunny but with chill except for little snow shower in the morning. There was light breeze but not strong wind. Temperature through out the day remained 0 degree or less in the negative scale.
Temperature is expected to fall tomorrow and more snow shower is expected.

Early morning it was raining today. around 8am it was cloudy but no raind and no wind(after so long). As the day progressed cloud vanished and it was clear sky. sun came out and it was a pleasant monday. Clear sky remained till evening. Temperuature wish, It was chilli today. It seems that winter is finally arriving in Europe. Temperature would have been around 5 degree in day time and will surely go to negative in the night. It might be that tomorrow there is some snow shower.

The day started with dense white cloud in the sky. There was some little shower in the morning. Around midday there was some good rain with ice particle. This rain would have hardly lasted for 10 minutes. Afterwards slowly the cloud moved away and the sky was clear. Sun appeared and it was bright day.In the mornign temperature would have been around 8 degree. Towards evening temperature dropped and it was feeling chilli. The temperature would have been around 5 degree(I suppose). Perhaps tomorrow there will be element of frost on the grass and cards.

Today Weather was of strong wind. Day started cloudy, then came the element of rain around 10 am for brief period. There after it was a clear sky throughout the day. For some brief moment sun also appered over the sky. Wind was strong all the time but at some point of time the wind gust was very strong. It could have stopped any one cycling in the opposite direction. Temperaure overall remained around 9 degree.

Today the complete day was relatively calm after the storm. Sky was clear in the morning and sun was visible for some brief moment. Wind speed was also normal today. Throughout the day it was cloudy but the the cloud was less dense. so more sunlight could disperse and was bright day. In the evening sky was clear, little breeze and temperature was around 9 degree.

In short it was a nice clear climate, on the day after the storm.

In the morning it was raining and it continued till afternoon. Wind was also strong today. In afternoon the wind started to increase and its velocity might have crossed 100 kmph. I knew that there was going to be a strong storm coming to Groningen in the evening and also national lever alert were made. We were advised to be remain indoor in the evening. Instead of normal biking, I took bus for my home return. Storm did came but it didn't do much damage in Groningen. In other part of Netherlands and Europe, it did damage. 30+ people have died in Europe in various accident due to the storm. The storm is named as "Kyrill". Many public transport was halted or was delayed.
The strong wind continued till late in the night. Temperature remained around 10 degree.

In the morning it was a cloudy and windy. The wind from west
continues to blow since past 2 weeks. The wind speed varied
through out the day. The sun was not visible throughout the
day. After 2:30pm, there was rain and it continued till
evening. Temperature tiday remained around 8 degree.

started with some short interval but it continued till evening.

The day started with the cloud, which with time went away to give the way for the sun at mid day. After a couple of hours of sun, cloud reapeared in the sky. Today there was no rain, wind was blowing normal around 30km/hr. Temperauter remained around 6 degree. In general nothing much to write about todays weather.

Today it was a pleasant day in Groningen. The day free of rain and cloud. It was a nice sunny sunday with some strong wind. With my friends I visited Hornsemeer in south of Groningen. With the sunny afternoon many people have came out to enjoy the lovely weather. Due to clear sky temperature dropped from yesterday to about 5-6 degree and with the strong wind it felt like 2-3 degree.
In the evening also it was the clear sky and temperature is expected to fall. At least it will be chilly in the monday morning.

Unexpectedly in the morning there was a bright sun, clear sky and light breeze. It was a pleasant saturday morning in Groningen. However this nice weather was shortlived. As the day grew.. wind increased there speed... cloud started arriving from somewhere ... and the dizzling started ........ so weathere was mixed as ususl ..thoug wind speed was less compared to previous day. Temperature during the day fluctuated between 8-10 degrees.

After yesterdays rain, wind, cloud and hurricane, today was the day of cloud and wind, thankfully no rains. In the morning there was a light wind but its velocity increased gradually during the day till the evening when the wind is strong. at certain moment the wind gust is so strong that if you are biking, it will turn the bike direction.

As there was no rain, the weather was a bit good than yesterday. As far as temperature is considered, I suppose it was around 9 degree through out the day. In night its expected to drop down.

The million dollar question is, will Groningen see the snow this year???.. I wish it does...

Today it was an extreme climate. average temperature dropped from 12 degree, in morning to 6 degree in evening. Day started cloudy as usual with little shower and some strong wind. around 10 am the shower become more intense and it continued like this. AT around 2 pm the wind speed and rain suddenly increased. It was like a storm of about 70 km per hour. Wind velocity was so high that even a small hole in the windows started making noise. this continued for about 30 minutes.

After this the temperature came down around 6 degree. wind was calm...clear sky and no rain. however as the evening approached wind velocity start to increase and it became as windy as normal.

On Thursday night there was a storm or better hurricane....truck flew away on highway...coastal area was flooded...flight was disrupted at shipol..... around 9 people died in europe...

The day started with strong wind flowing to east.around 10 am the rain joined the show and it continued whole day. occasionally there was a brief patch of time when there was no rain. The wind and rain finally calmed down in the evening. Temperature today would have been 10+ C till afternoon and later it was around 8 degree.

Temperature today stayed around 12 degree. Strong wind was blowing continuously throughout the day and night. In morning and evening sky were cloudy. During the day there was a nice sunshine. In Holland first it is rare to see the sun in the normal days and today was special as sun was visible in the month of January, supposed to be a winter month covered with snow.

Today day started as usual with the rain and wind. however, later around 10:30 am sky became clear and sun was visible. The weather was clear till the evening.Again in the evening after 7 pm rain and wind started. it seems that its periodic. Temperature remained between 7 and 10 degree.

The day started with fog in the very early morning. Sun was also visible for a brief time around 8 am. while rest of the day it was cloudy, windiy and rainy/dizziling till evening. Temperature fluctuated between 6 and 8 degrees.

Today again the day was mixed with rain, wind and cloud. Temperature fails to drop below 7 degree. Previous year this time, there used to be snow but this time there is no snow. Will there be any snow this time??? This is the warmest winter in Europe. Is this due to global warming or just one time climate change??? Time will answer these question.

Today weather was mixed of everything. Day started with strong wind and shower. Then also came a moment when sun was visible for some time. In general whole day there was wind and cloud. rain added the spice in between.
